Sažetak
Nowadays, the preservation and improvement of the quality of water, air and soil in the complete system of environmental protection is attended with great care. The most frequent objections in the use of fossil fuels in power plants are directed towards the emission of harmful matters, especially if the thermoenergetic plants are situated in the immeditate neighbourhood or within urban areas. In this paper a review of material particle emissions and emissions of SO2, NOX, CO2, from units of the Croatian Energetic System fed by mazout, gas, and coal has been given. As example, the production flowsheet of the Zagreb Power and Heating Plant (ZPHP) has been investigated, the emission points, from the moment of fuel receptance up to its burning in the boiler, i.e. to the atmospheric gas exhaust, have been identified. Law regulations, control system and the present protecting measures have been described and suitable improvement suggestions proposed.
