Sažetak
The Internet increasingly becomes a meeting place of interests of business subjects as well as interests of individuals. It becomes a communication channel for the realization of dynamic and open business systems. In order to continue the process of development of the Internet it is necessary to achieve a sufficiently secure communication environment of all communication system users. One of the ways to attain a certain level of security of a computer system is the adjustement of the operating system to the demands of users. In this work we have performed a comparative analysis of the possibilities of information system protection on Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 and Windows XP platforms. The advantages and disadvantages perceived within local network are the basis of the creation of a sufficient computer system protection level as well as the protection level of the information system in which the business system participates.
