Sažetak
Sustainable use of water and energy is very important. In all kind of human activities besides economic criterion, environmental and social criteria should be taken into account. This paper deals with application of multicriteria method Promethee for selecting the optimal variant for water irrigation system designed on the example of the local football club “Obreš”, on location of Sveti Ilija, Croatia. Here are presented two variants of the irrigation system driven by solar photovoltaic (PV) energy ; Variant I and Variant II. Those variants include a solar PV generator and inverter, pump station, water reservoir and pipeline. Only difference between these two variants is that Variant I is based on the water tower reservoir, while Variant II is based on the usage of solar batteries. For irrigation, the groundwater in combination with rainwater is used. PV energy is used as energy source for the water pumps. Beside the mentioned, this paper presents the application of innovative Critical Period Method for dimensioning the water irrigation system on the same example in Croatia.
