The result in practice show that necessary computer facilities in primary and secondary education system in the Republic of Croatia are variously represent, and that amount of presented technology in the educational process largely depends on the educators. This paper presents the results of the research conducted at the Faculty of Teacher Education in Rijeka. The results indicate to a vast range of prior knowledge in ICT of students and that programming was very little involved in their former education. Such fact can become a disturbing factor in the further development of innovative and creative use of ICT in the educational process during their study.
