Sažetak
Description of frictional contact problems using finite elements requres a correct variable re-definion when sliding of the slave node over several master segments (surfaces) occurs. The paper presents a simple large step contact formulation which, instead of using the acive segment nodes and correspoding parameters, is based on reffering the history variables to the coordiantes. As a result, large sliding contact can be correctly described. The presented approach is particularly important for describing of a 3D contact using triangular contact elements based on the 4-node tatrahedrals.
