Sažetak
The purpose of this paper was to investigate of turning process EN 1.4410 super-duplex stainless steel with uncoated carbide inserts. Dry, single-point wet and cooled by compressed cold air longitudinal turning of cylindrical bars tests are conducted. The parametric influences of cutting speed, feed rate, depth of cut and cutting environment on the surface roughness are drawn. Taguchi design of experiment and signal to noise ratio (S/N) were used in analysing the data obtained from experimentation. The main answers were correlated with the cutting parameters and cutting conditions which present a good selection to the best surface roughness generation.
