Sažetak
Building of the Fortress of Osijek was the biggest constructional enterprise in the 18th century Slavonia. It affected all the inhabitants in the town, bu also all the inhabitants of the neighbouring estates in Eastern Slavonia and in Baranya. The main building activities lasted from 1712 to 1719. During the building of the Fortress all the resources of the Eastern Slavonia and BAranya were involved in it. Forests were exploated for the timber and as a fuel for the brick factory. The Change of the environment was immense.
