Sažetak
In wide area monitoring, protection and control systems (WAMPAC), angle stability of transmission network is monitored using data from phasor measurement units (PMU) placed on transmission lines. Based on PMU data stream measurements advanced algorithm in order to detect and issue an early warning for out-of- step conditions is developed. That research hypothesis and algorithm is described in this paper. Data and results from corresponding simulations done in Matlab environment are elaborated and explained to provide the insights of the potential benefits. This algorithm will be adjusted for implementation in protection segments of WAMPAC systems in the transmission system operator central control centers.
