Sažetak
Tick borne encephalitis (TBE) is endemic in the northwest and northeast continental parts of Croatia between the rivers Sava and Drava with new natural foci south from the river Sava. TBE has been an obligatory reportable disease since 1986 but the burden of disease is probably higher than officially reported. The aim of this study is to present the seroprevalence of TBE in Croatia in a 14-year period (2002 to 2015). In addition, the performance of the new rapid TBE IgM test was compared to enzyme immunoassays and PCR
