Sažetak
In recent years, the three categories of seasons – namely dry, average and wet – is to complete with two new types that are wet period following a dry and a dry period following a wet season. The reason of the supplementing is the different – but mostly extreme – impacts on soil quality. This study may summarise the changes in soil quality both directly and indirectly in wet and in dry seasons. Factors changing directly after tillage are as follows: depth of the loosened layer, looseness of the soil in topmost layer and in root zone, the settling, compact pan creation in the root zone, extension of the pan layer, pan state below the tilled layer, ratio of the crumb and the dust, siltation in the surface, dust sedimentation from the surface to the deeper layer, surface shape, cover ratio of the surface out of the growing season, and the consonance of soil tillage. Factors that are modified indirectly are the water intake and store, water stagnation in the surface, soil biological state, decomposition of the stubble residues, earthworm activity and influence of tillage. The consequences, listed before were evaluated on the basis of the seven years findings attained in a long-term experiment. Presenting the climate induced phenomena and evaluation of the assessments originated from the long-term trial may hopefully help the detection of the damages and selection of the preventing and the remedying methods. Keywords: long-term experiment, rain stress, drought, soil deterioration, prevention
