Sažetak
A nickel matrix with SiC nanoparticles composite coating is prepared by electrodeposition, assisted with an ultrasonic treatment of the galvanic bath. Coating abrasion and erosion wear resistance is determined, as well as micro-hardness. Structure and composition of the nickel nanocomposite coating is defined using SEM and EDX. The corrosion behavior is investigated by potentiodynamic polarization methods in 3.5 % NaCl solution. Results show improved mechanical properties, wear and corrosion resistance compared to nickel metallic coating.
