Sažetak
Assessment and health monitoring of existing timber structures has experienced huge interest in last decades. The main reasons are protection and conservation of the heritage buildings built in timber and assessment and collection of crucial data for relatively new large-span timber structures. In this paper several assessment methods and wireless monitoring systems will be explained. The main focus of the paper is to present non- destructive and semi-destructive test methods for the assessment of old and under protection heritage buildings as well as to present possible systems and principles of their health monitoring.
