Sažetak
Money supply has a significant role in determining the level of real production and the level of employement.Since the central bank determines money supply, we may evaluate the effectiveness of monetary policy management by analysing the available information regarding the scope of economic policy. Economic policy has to be managed with respect to its final objectives and goals. Since its objectives are complementary, monetary policy, and other policies as well, are allowed to chose between multiple objectives or even to substitute among them. As many monetary an non-monetary variables influence the effectiveness of monetary policy, it is important to discuss their nature and possible interconnections between measures that the central bank take in policy management. But there are different theoretical stances with respect to the role of the central monetary authority in the achievement of predetermined policy objecives, so these are often the reason of disagreement between academics abd practitioners in economics. And this why we can raise the question of the permissiveness of choise between rules and discretion in monetary policy management.
