Sažetak
In the last decades focus group as a research method has found its’ way from the field of business and politics and market research to education research either as a complementary research method or a standalone research method. As the deployment of this method grows bigger in social sciences there seems to be a need for further exploration of the issues surrounding the deployment of focus group as scientific research method in education research. The paper explores areas of dispute in relation to epistemological and practical implications of focus groups research in education. Some methodological issues regarding data collection and analysis are discussed.
