Sažetak
The Oxford English Dictionary (OED) is a descriptive historical dictionary which is based on a growing collection of citations. Its three major editions – the OED1 from 1933, the OED2 from 1989 and the OED3 from 2017, provide the users with an insight into the English language development. Dictionary microstructure, which is the internal structure of individual entries, in the OED follows the same pattern in all editions – spelling first, followed by pronunciation, word class, usage, etymology, inflections, senses, definition, examples, run-ons. Through different editions, the microstructure developed and made access to entry information simpler and more functional.
