Sažetak
The aim of the paper is to emphasize the new possibilities for the rural economy development by creating an environment for the development of creative and innovative activities in rural tourism. For rural tourism, the experience is the key factor for success and innovation in a competitive world. Tourists seek experiences that are once in a lifetime, built by their expectations and motivations and previous travel experiences. Tourism plays a major role in progressing an economy and create places to be in demand by offering consumers valuable and distinct experiences. This paper is structured within basic hypothesis about the importance of acquiring new knowledge about the potential of growth in rural tourism through the experience economy. The methodological framework is applied that includes relevant aspects of economic topics such as rural areas, rural tourism and agriculture.
