Sažetak
Introduction of course-subject General Legal History at the Faculty of Law in Zagreb in 1868 is the first and very rare examples of teaching a course subject at its proper time with such a broad scope. Yet, in spite of its "comparative" Neohegelian based proclamations and references to Eduard Gans the programe of the subject was in fact combination of its neohegelian aspirations and historicistic F. von Savigny's basis with final reduction to Germanic legal histories and von Savigny method only at the time of its abolishment 1933. The course-subject reappeared in 1946 on the Hegelian-Marxist ground and broad scope but again in reality traditional non-comparative von Savigny's inspired approach prevailed again with a basis on pragmatic reason of teaching. Introduction and development of the national legal history since 1911 complement such development of the subject.
