Sažetak
Creating a stimulating atmosphere for the more rapid entrepreneurship development is one of prerequisites for successful post transition economic development. In order to create such atmosphere governments undertake measures and activities for providing and establishing the network of support institutions such as entrepreneurial zones, centers and incubators. Entrepreneurial zones development (in local and regional government levels) aims to encourage for equal development, rapid growth of entrepreneurship and increasing employment. By development of entrepreneurial zones, governments (on state or local level) are creating the conditions for the introduction of a series of incentives for developing small and medium entrepreneurship, primarily under favourable terms to entrepreneurs during the construction of business premises on land that is completely equipped with infrastructure. Traditionally infrastructure investments were financed by the public sector (state or local), but a lot of reasons (primarily insufficient fiscal capacities) force governments (state and local) to find new ways of financing and undertaking infrastructure projects. Private sector participation in entrepreneurial infrastructure projects through Public Private Partnerships is one of this ways. This paper examines possibilities of use of Public Private Partnerships in entrepreneurial infrastructure development, with a special overview of possibilities of use of Public Private Partnership in development of entrepreneurial zones in Croatia.
