Sažetak
Halogen bonds (D–X···A) are defined as interactions between a halogen atom which has anisotropic electron density distribution and electron-rich groups. Herein, we present three imines derived from o-vanillin (ov) and three different amines: 3- and 4-aminoacetophenone (3aa, 4aa) and 2-aminonaphthalene (2an). Their functional groups are able to build halogen bonds and make motifs with mono- and bifurcated halogen bond donors. Herein, we report the results of mechanochemical syntheses of cocrystals of imines (ov3aa, ov4aa, ov2an) and 1, 2- and 1, 4-tetrafluorodiiodobenzene (1, 2-&1, 4-tfib) as halogen bond donors in different stoichiometric ratios (1:1, 1:2 and 2:1). Single crystal X-Ray Diffraction (SCXRD) analysis was used to determine molecular and crystal structures of the prepared multicomponent systems. Supramolecular structural motifs in cocrystal structures were analyzed and compared with ones reported in the CSD.
