Sažetak
One of the main goals of each company is efficient management and decision process. Usage of IT and development of management support systems, based on a Business Intelligence (BI) technology, have a key role in achieving maximal effects of the management and the decision process. Application of BI system leads to conditions, procedures and mechanisms for creating quality data, information and business knowledge. By these the companies can efficiently respond to numerous pressures in complex environment. The main objective of the paper is to present the overview of business intelligence technologies, show the results of the preliminary research about the use of business intelligence technologies as management support system in Croatian companies and state of IS in part of data processing for business decision-making (case study).
