Sažetak
The occurence of hypoxia was recorded in the northern Adriatic at the end of 1994 during the fishery-biogy expedition PIPETA. Abundant precipitation preceding the time of sampling caused a multifold increase of Po River discharge to which a reduction of surface salinity and higher stability of the water column were due, particularly at stations south of the Po delta.
