Sažetak
Interdisciplinary relationship between sport and economics is still weak and disorganized in Croatia, having been rarely the object of research studies. Nevertheless, under the influence of world standards and according to the specific Croatian conditions, certain efforts have been made to create establish theoretical sports marketing fundamentals. This paper is a contribution in this direction. The conclusion is stressed that sport, in the comprehensive meaning with all the potentials it comprises or should comprises - from the elite sport, through kinesitherapy and tourism aimed at sport and health promotion, to the sports recreation and school sport - through the sports marketing concept, could and should become the best Croatian product.
