Sažetak
Very notion of prevention in karate training can be simply defined as the avoidance and prevention of different types of injuries that can disrupt the training process and the process of sports education. Prevention of injuries in karate is primary task of trainers and doctors, but also the very athletes. A large number of injuries can be avoided by proper dosing of the load taking into account the principle of individualization. At the beginning of the preparatory period, prevention content in karate training should slowly approach the situational model of training with the aim of preparing a complete psychosomatic status of young athlete. The incidence of injury among all age groups in sport during various types of sporting activities is significant, especially after the rahabilitation phase. The aim of prevention training is to prevent a repetition of old sport injuries, and to prevent the emergence of new athletic injuries. On this basis, prevention training must take a significant place inthe process of planning and programming sports training and the very processof rehabilitation after sport injuries in general. In order to avoid repetition of such injury, fitness coach must select prevention exercises to work wit athletes to suffer injuries (knee, ankle...), which athlete must carry at least three times a week. Continuous functional load, overload, vehement and sudden movements of the foot and hand techniques and kicks of different strenght may cause damage to different joints (wrist, knee, etc.). Using elemets of prevention training and different exercises is possible to reduce that kind of injuries in karate.
