Sažetak
Presented in this paper is a comparative analysis of the efficiency of clamping elements regarding their load capacity, and interface compliance. Workpieces were clamped with small clamping forces and small penetration depths. The investigation showed that the clamping element top geometry greatly impacts the magnitude of workpiece displacement during machining. It has been established that standard flat-top clamping elements have significantly lower load capacity compared to their specially designed counterparts. Among the positive effects of the clamping elements with the specially designed top, are higher reliability, accuracy, and machining productivity.
