Sažetak
We identified the TiO bands and measured their intensity jumps in the near infrared spectra of ten M giants located in the Galactic plane. The correlation between the measured intensity jumps and spectral subtypes for particular TiO bands has been compared to the correlation established by use of the corresponding values calculated from model atmospheres for different &#61531 ; O/C&#61533 ; abundance ratios.
