Sažetak
This report presents the background, methodology, results and recommendations from the cognitive interview (CI) study that was carried out as a part of EU FP7 MYWEB project in autumn 2015 in six countries in three consecutive rounds (R) with children aged 8 (R1 and R2) and children aged 7 (R3) as part of the questionnaire design process within the MYWEB project. The CI study consisted of pilot testing using an English source questionnaire that was conducted among six eight year old children in Great Britain, followed by three consecutive rounds conducted simultaneously in all six delivery partners countries with a total of 195 children: 77 (40%) of them –around seven years old and 118 (60%) around eight years old, conducted in total by 26 interviewers. After each round of CI, each delivery partner team analysed the data they gathered, detected problems with questions, and made recommendations on how to improve questions for the next round of CI, in the form of preliminary national reports. Based on findings and recommendations in these preliminary national reports, as well as data coded in the excel charts, the WP lead team adapted the questionnaire and accompanying documents (CI protocol - interview guide with probes, form for taking notes, and excel charts for data entry and national preliminary analyses) as source documents in English after each CI round. This report is a summary of all this data, experiences, detected problems, and recommendations collected in six delivery countries across three CI rounds.
