Sažetak
Metal threads, as decoration on historical Croatian textile, were mostly, used on the liturgical vestments and the festive folk costumes and were found in old Croatian graves. Analysis of these metal threads was performed with Scanning Electron Microscope with Energy Dispersive X-ray detector (SEM-EDX). Method was applied as the most suitable, determining the approximate amount of individual metals in the sample. It was found that copper and silver dominate in all historical samples, but gold was mostly found on samples from Split folk costumes.
