Sažetak
The COAST project was aimed at conservation and sustainable use of biodiversity along the Dalmatian Coast of Croatia. Sectoral study on tourism gathered data and results obtained within the analysis of the tourism related issues that may create opportunities and pose threats to biodiversity in the region. The objective of the task was to compile information related to tourism activities and biodiversity loss. The geographical distribution of the tourism activities has also been addressed. A critical review of the ongoing policies, practices and programmes in the tourism sector on the counties’ level was also one of the objectives of this document. As an outcome, a whole range of activities in tourism sector aimed at preventing negative impacts on the biodiversity of selected sites is identified and proposed for the implementation during the third phase of the project.

U ovom interdisciplinarnom projektu sudjelovao je velik broj znanstvenika i stručnjaka iz Hrvatske i inozemstva.Na dionici koja se ticala analize turizma, a koju je na lokalnoj/regionalnoj razini obrađivala autorica, sudjelovali su i sljedeći stručnjaci: prof.dr. Boris Vukonić (kao ekspert za nacionalnu razinu ekspertize, te Chris Evans, za međunarodnu razinu)
