Sažetak
The 1:2 zinc(II) halide complexes of general formula [ZnX2(LH)2] and the 1:1 mercury(II) halide complexes of general formula [HgX2(LH)] with N-(p- anisoyl)-2-oxo-1-naphthylideneamine (LH) are prepared and characterized. IR- spectrometry study as well as the crystal structures of two of them reveal monodentate (via oxygen) ligation of the neutral Schiff- base, while UV–Vis as well as H-1 and C-13 NMR spectra suggest that the dissolving of the complexes is followed by the decomposition into the parent molecules.
