Sažetak
The aim of this research has been to examine the differences between girls and boys of a younger school age (from the first to the fourth grade of primary school) in their eating habits and free time activities. The research was conducted in two primary schools, one in the Požega-Slavonia County (Požega) and the other in the Istra County (Pula). A questionnaire has been used which consisted of 22 questions about the pupils' eating habits and free time activities. The basic descriptive parameters and the obtained average result values for children of a younger school age were worked out for all variables. The univariate analysis of variance was used to determine the differences between girls and boys in the analysed variables. This research has determined that there is a statistically significant difference between girls and boys in two variables, namely the body mass and the body mass index (BMI).
