Sažetak
In this paper we deal with the production-inventory model with quadratic and linear costs. We apply control theory, specially Pontriagyn`s maximum principle, to find the optimal paths for inventory and production decisions of a firm that considers two kind of costs: costs of producing and keeping the unit of product (linear costs) and extra costs caused by deviation of production levels from the desired levels (quadratic costs).
