Sažetak
Excellent natural qualities of the island of Korčula resulted in establishing a relatively dense network of ancient sites specific for ancient rural landscape dominated by villae rusticae dated from early 1st century AD onwards. Late Antiquity period in turn is characterized with several things: the continuity of life of these rural estates visible through archaeological materials, architectural modification of early roman buildings (Potrina-Mirje) and occurrence of early Christian objects with surrounding graves (Potirna-Mirje, Bradat-Mirje, Saints Cosmas and Damian). Another important component of Late Antiquity is composed by revitalizing the well-defended positions established on St. John and Kopila hill forts. Poster will present material remains of mentioned Late Antique changes that affected western part of the island of Korčula.
