Sažetak
Alteration of cell mediated immunity during pregnancy involves regulation by progesterone at the level of maternal-embryonal interface and peripheral blood of pregnant women. Peripheral blood lymphocytes express receptor for progesteron as a consequence of aloantigen stimulation. Progesterone affects the function of progesterone receptor positive CD3+CD8+ lymphocytes, by inducing production and secretion of downstream progesterone mediator(s). Progeserone induced blocking factor mediates specific progesterone actions such as blocking NK cell activity, enhances asymmetric antibody production of hybridoma cells and inhibits interleukin 12 expression in acivated lymphocytes in vitro.
