Sažetak
The paper presents some facts concerning a community of Italians who are specific because, unlike many of their fellow Italians who live in communities on the eastern coast of the Adriatic, these live in inland Croatia. This inquiry has been carried out upon 27 respondents whom I met on my first two visits to Pakrac and itssurroundings. Nevertheless, it has pointed out that the Italian Community in western Slavonia is at risk of perishing as a linguistic group and in part also as an ethnological group, being in fact forgotten to a certain extent by their mother country.
