Sažetak
Individual health and well-being are universal desires mutual to people of all ages, earnings, beliefs, cultures, and continents and big opportunity for the health- tourism services development through all types of medical or wellness programmes. The global market oriented towards health-tourism economy is estimated at 3.4 trillion $ (Global Spa & Wellness Economy Monitor) and is still increasing. For this purpose strategic documents (issued by the Croatian Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Health at national and also at regional level) according to direction of globally accepted trends in health-tourism development will be assessed. Also, significant changes based on the activity of educational institutions, professional associations, clusters or projects supported or organized by Croatian Chamber of Commerce will be presented. This change will primarily be assessed through the perspective of achieving competitive advantages of health- tourism institutions involved in the development of health-tourism services. Managers and owners are involved in this process in order to achieve the objectives associated with raising quality, efficiency and effectiveness on the global health- tourism market.
