Sažetak
In this study relationship between merchandise exports diversification and merchandise exports level in Croatia, Romania and Latvia was analyzed using the panel cointegration model. For this purpose, the main hypothesis was defined and states that merchandise exports level is correlated with its export product diversification in selected EU member countries. Considering the sample data and its nature, to test the main hypothesis a panel data approach with dynamic ordinary least square (DOLS) method as an estimator has been employed. The results of the study shown that merchandise exports diversification is correlated to exports level in Croatia, Romania and Latvia. The long-run effect of merchandise exports concentration increment on merchandise exports level was negative. The main hypothesis of the research was confirmed based on a data sample for the period from 1995 to 2014.
