Sažetak
Since 2003, cultural tourism is one of the key determinants of the development of Croatian tourism, which at the highest governmental levels has dedicated special attention until 2013. This lecture/presentation analyzes the development of cultural tourism in Croatia from 2003 to the present days. In this period of time has been accepted Strategy for development of cultural tourism in Croatia and began its four year implementation. Then, it is defined the role of the state in the sectors of culture and tourism in a way that are defined the key state institutions for the development of cultural tourism in Croatia, which are Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Croatia and the Office for Cultural Tourism in the Croatian National Tourist Board. Consequently will be analyzed Croatian Strategy for development of cultural tourism, in particular recent results of implementation of its strategic priorities, and the current effects of government organizations that deal with cultural tourism in Croatia. As a result of four years implementation of the Strategy for development of cultural tourism in Croatia, in 2008 is performed the first comprehensive research of visitors attitudes and consumption on the attractions and cultural events in Croatia as a concrete starting point for analyzing the effects of implemented Strategy and ways of thinking its further implementation. Finally, it will list the problems, current conditions and possibilities for future development of cultural tourism in Croatia.
