Sažetak
Over the last seventy years, the central contentious question of Croatian cultural policies regarding folk music have been the following: who are the legitimated bearers of folk music, who are the legitimated connoisseurs of folk music, and in which way and to what extent does the public practice of folk music rely on folklore music practice. The three basic models of folk music were created in the answers to those questions: the modernistic model during the 1920s, the traditional model during the 1930s, and the socialist realism model during the 1950s.
