Sažetak
During the last few decades the work of women on the labour market has significantly contributed to the development of global economy. Gender differences have been a subject of numerous documents, laws and declarations in the world and in Croatia, which have been diligently researched (Wharton, 2005 ; Chant, 2003 ; Šmid, 2005 ; Kokanović, Šmid, 2000. according to: Leinert-Novosel, 2003.) “The ultimate goal of gender-aware politics is the the equality between genders” (ECOSOCAC, 1997.) A research conducted in 2008 (Črpić, Sever, Mravunac, 2010./84) has shown that Croats favour traditional approaches to marriage and family, although a slight decline in traditionalistic model has been noted along with a stabilisation trend of gender roles after the trau mas of war and transition. There have been several research attempts (Sarason & Potter, 1983, Johnson & Johnson, 1986) of the influence of group analyses on the team productivity. A research in the communication skills in teams, specifically in the financial areas (accounting, assurance and investment companies) has been conducted in Zagreb in 2011. The aim of the research has been to determine how developed communication skills of persons who work in teams dealing with finances are, and whether or not there is a difference between their leaders and team members with regard to gender. The sample consisted of 15 mixed teams, containing 86 team members, and it has to be noted that there have been more women team members than women team leaders. The conclusions point to the minimal differences among team members in the development of communication skills with regard to gender, which however have not been found among team leaders.
