Sažetak
European mass tourism flows are nowadays indicated only by the growing number of participants, while all other segments show the selective approach of tourism development, based on comparative advantages of a particular country. This paper researches the presence of cruising tours within the Republic of Croatia tourism as a whole, analyzing and synthetizing both quality and quantity indicators and their importance compared with the European tourism flows. The tourism offer must therefore be enriched by means of constant tourism product innovations, as well as by the continual quality improvement of all its components in order to be brought to the level of highly- developed tourism countries of the world. Cruising tourism forms an important component of Croatian tourism, particularly if its dynamic world growth is taken into account as the result of price acceptability of cruising tourism itineraries to various tourism demand sectors. Because of their tourism attractiveness, Croatian destinations continue to take an even larger part of international cruising tour itineraries. In addition to this, by integrating the Croatian shipping companies into cruising tourism, specific tourism offer segment is formed of cruises within territorial waters.
