Sažetak
In the offset printing process, the most represented printing technique, the reproduction quality depends greatly upon the properties of the fountain solution. The influence of the new concentrates on the properties of the fountain solutions and their ecological applicability was observed in the article. Electric conductivity, pH value and surface tension of the fountain solutions at different concentrations, and damping of the printing and non-printing surfaces on the printing form were investigated. These investigations gave the contribution to the explanation of the new concentrates influence on physicochemical properties of the fountain solutions in real systems of offset printing. From the obtained results, it was possible to determine optimal concentrations of the original concentrates and predict the activity of the fountain solutions in real printing condition, as well as their influence on the protection of the environment.
