Sažetak
The aim of this paper is to present the strategic environmental impact assessment of the new Spatial plan of the Primorsko-goranska County. The paper describes the process of making the assessment, the participants in the project, the participation of the general public as well as the specially appointed bodies. The main assessment of the acceptability of the plan for ecological network and the questions of environmental protection integrated in the Spatial plan are specially presented. Considering that this is the first strategic environmental impact assessment of a spatial plan in Croatia, it is suggested that the experience of the Primorsko-goranska County can serve as an example for other similar procedures.
