Sažetak
A brief overview of the quality control of topographic map in scale 1: 25 000, which was carried out by Croatian Geodetic Institute, is given. The paper is dedicated to the aesthetics of the topographic map because it is noticed that this topic was not appropriate processed. In fact, aesthetics can be controlled indirectly in the sense of relief and water courses harmonization, smoothness of the contour lines, nonexistence of bonded contour lines and justification for rockies display. Moreover, a comparison between quality control at the Croatian Geodetic Institute and quality elements by contemporary standards is done. The presence of data quality elements is registered in accordance with ISO. A proposal for several data quality measures for aesthetics are given, as well.
