Sažetak
Metastases to muscles are rare and represent only 0.2 % of all metastatic sites, although the skeletal muscle accounts nearly 50% of total body mass. They usually present with pain, palpable mass and painless soft tissue lump. In reviewed literature we have found only few reported cases of cancers with metastases to cervical paravertebral muscles (PVM) and none with neck stiffness as a disease symptom. Therefore, we present a case of neck stiffness due to metastasis in cervical PVM as the first sign of unrecognized lung adenocarcinoma.
