Sažetak
This paper presents the results of investigating an Al-fin bond between an aluminum piston alloy and an austenitic cast iron. A metallographic investigation was permormed using light and scanning electron microscope in order to determine the quality of the intermetallic bonding layer. The test results show that, if proper conditions are met, preparations of the ring carrier can be made successfully as well as the formation of metal connection.
