Sažetak
Aim and purpose: Dental aesthetics has become an important discipline in dentistry as patients have started requesting highly aesthetic restorations on maxillary anterior teeth. The purpose of this study was to compare clinical assessment and patient’s evaluation of some aesthetic restorations on maxillary anterior teeth. Materials and method: Patients also assessed general impression of their maxillary anterior teeth restorations and rated it as satisfactory or unsatisfactory. Results were compared with clinician’s assessment. Logistic regression analysis was used to determine factors that influenced the patient’s satisfactory or unsatisfactory overall impression for maxillary anterior teeth restorations.Materials and method: The following procedure has been adopted for the treatment of the case based essentially on making a special rigid tray: Temporary stabilization, taking impression, making master cast, using prepared dental stone, making a rigid tray, surface preparation, reattachment, removing the rigid tray and finalizing the restoration and occlusal adjustment. Result: The novel RTT may sometimes be the best and only way for replacement and reattachment of a tooth detached pontic. Summary and conclusion: It is an artistic technique for replacement and reattachment of a composite tooth pontic that can be used in restorative dentistry to bring satisfaction to the dentists concerned about their patient’s welfare.
