Sažetak
Protection of BPC 157 on capsaicin induced hyperreactive rhinitis in rats was studied for mastocyte infiltration, degranulation and inflammatory cell infiltration. Animals were pretreated with 10 mcg, 10 ng orl saline i.p. and capsaicin was applied intranasally (0, 05 ml per nostril of 1750 sol). They were euthanized at 1, 3 and 12 hours after provocation. Pretreatment significantly protected mastocyte infiltration at 1h. Polymorphonuclear leucocyte infiltration was significantly reduced in rats pretreated with 10 mcg/kg of BPC 157. Dose dependent protection was demonstrated at 12h only.
