Sažetak
Recent researches comparing the difference between the linguistic input provided by mothers and fathers show that the interactive environment provided by mothers differs qualitatively and quantitatively than the one provided by fathers, in particular way during the early language acquisition period. The obligations and expectations constantly redefine and reallocated within the interpersonal environment changes at the family domain level and its immediate environment. Therefore, extensive studies confirm the significance of mothers’ linguistic inputs and their impact on shaping the child’s linguistic behavior and development. Hence, this research is focused on the mother tongue transmission pattern, in order to measure the influential rate of the linguistic environment and linguistic input provided by mothers, as opposed to fathers. With regard to the parental influence on the mother tongue transmission in the home domain, the statistic correlative analysis of data based on survey results highlight a more significant and stronger relationship between the mothers’ and the childrens’ mother tongue (Coefficient of contingency, Kendall’s tau, Spearman’e rho). As observed, the values attached by mothers to the language used and transmitted in the home domain are prevailing in comparison to the fathers’ mother tongue transmission role.
