Sažetak
The construction of male flying jacket in size 50 was performed using the Lectra CAD system and a software package designed for the computer-based construction of 2D garment patterns. Afterwards an area of each segment of cutting patterns and overall area of both constructed jacket and selected clothing ensembles was calculated. Three male subjects were scanned in an upright standing position. The process of a subject scanning was undertaken using a 3D laser body scanner Vitus Smart developed by Human Solutions and afterwards volume and an area measurements of the scans were determined by a Geomagic Verify software. The experimental study consisted of two phases. Effective thermal insulation of clothing garments and ensembles was determined by means of thermal manikin in accordance with parallel model proposed by ISO 15831. Changes of values of effective thermal insulation of selected clothing ensembles for pilots were than compared and correlation between the values of thermal insulation and volume of clothing was investigated.
