Sažetak
This study discusses vocabulary learning strategies in general, and includes an analysis and classification of vocabulary learning strategies (VLSs) of university students. The statistical analysis of data, collected by the questionnaire, shows the frequency of strategy use by two groups of students (students of English, and students of economics). The comparison of the data on a descriptive level reveals some differences in the students’ strategic approaches to vocabulary learning, but further research is needed in order to determine whether these differences are statistically significant. Nonetheless, compiling an extensive list of learners’ VLSs is viewed as a first step towards any attempt at integration of strategy training into teaching practice.
